Cottage Industries work-at-home Update

Friday, August 31st, 2007

Recently, I posted a work at home program called Cottage Industries to my Top 36 work at home page.

This company was contacted and we have currently updated the address for this company. We received a return to sender, forwarding time has expired. Therefore, it is clear that the information out of the Top 36 Work at home e-book is not current and was not worth the $10.00 that most of you from the forum had to pay for it. Yes, there are ways to make money from selling e-books, but this was not one of them. Shame on you Christian Prayer Rugs.

We will be update all information as we hear from the work at home program owners, and provide you with current information.

Affiliate Fear

Friday, August 31st, 2007

Affiliate fear is a term I used when describing a work at home program that I have (only) just encountered, which pays big $$$ for me to recruit my friends and family members.

Of course if they are paying big $$$, then there must be a substantial registration fee they are charging the people I have to recruit.  Has this ever happened to you???

Well, I have to admit that in my many years of work at home programs, (not just crafts) I have indeed worked as an affiliate, and I have many times been sorry that I introduced my friends to a program I knew little about.

I remember when All Advantage and Spedia.com first came out.  It was a free program to join, and I marketed like crazy getting my friends and assoicates to join me.  Hey, it was a free program, and one that I earn a great deal of money from.

However, when it comes to asking my friends and associates to shell out the big $$$ for a program I am unfamiliar with, it a road that I don’t choose to go down ever again.

Strange Coincident !

Friday, August 31st, 2007

Today, I published for the first time on this blog the fact that I’d not been paid for some work performed for Christian Prayer Rugs, and wouldn’t you know……I received a “You have Money”, from paypal on the very same day that I posted the blog.

If I didn’t know better, I would think that someone is watching this blog. hmmmmm….

Tommorow, I will fax three additional names to a local worker and have them hand deliver it, with a link to this blog…who knows??? Thanks, tired-of-this

Still no communication

Friday, August 31st, 2007

Yesterday, I assumed that I’d broken though the contact barrier that has been going on with christian prayer rugs. I’d found a local contact and was suppose to fax some information for hand delivery. This attempt has not been very fruity this morning.

However, I did forwardto them, a copy of an article (with inaccurate bylines) one of the forum members submitted to me. Don’t think that I will get any response, but I needed to have that on record.

Why hire work at home workers?

Thursday, August 30th, 2007

The number one reason for hiring work at home workers, is to cut down on the expense of having to furnish a place to work. Therefore, to consider this method of producing work, one would have to say that the company is concerned about over extending itself financially.

Is is reasonable for us to assume that a company that has been in the work at home industry for some time, would have not considered the added expense of hiring workers so far away.

Or,

Would it be reasonable to assume that the company’s intent was to earn money off the registration fees of it’s workers. Not pointing any finger, but I’m just saying……….

Before closing this post, I would also like to say that I have worked for this company, in the capacity of writing articles, posting in forums and building blogs, I have not been involved in the production part of the business, therefore if you see my alias on articles written for them, be sure not to think I own the company, as one of the forum members did.

Until tommorow, Beauty of Wisdom
